Goodbye Galliano!

John Galliano has been the creative director for Christian Dior for over 10 years now. Today he was fired after a video leaked onto the internet of him being anti-cemitic and claiming he "loves hitler".  Christian Dior released a statement earlier today saying:

"I condemn with the greatest firmness the comments made by John Galliano, in total contradiction with the essential values which have always been defended by Christian Dior."

Natalie Portman who is the face of Dior's latest fragrance and also a jew commented on the video saying:

"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful."

Lea Lets Us Down :(

Lea Michele showed up to the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party on sunday night in a blue sparkly Roberto Cavalli gown. The only way I can describe this look is that it looks like the midnight sky threw up on her. Although I am just not a fan of the dress, it could have worked on somebody older and not as petite as Lea.

Retro Reese

Reese Witherspoon showed up to the Academy Awards looking retro and chic on sunday night. The starlet went with a simple Armani gown that was on everyones best dressed list. Her gorgeous up-do was a perfect way to compliment her flawless look!

Madonna = Fashion Offender

Madonna shocked us on the red carpet last night...and for all the wrong reasons. The star showed up to the Oscar's after party looking like a hot mess. Her daughter, Lola on the other hand looked edgy and adorable!

The Oscar For Best Dressed Goes To...

...MILA KUNIS! Mila ROCKED it on the red carpet at last night's 83rd Annual Oscar Ceremony. The black swan looked lovely in lavender in a gorgeous Elie Saab gown.

Go Gwyneth!

Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning at the Oscar after party last night. She sparkled in a one shoulder Michael Kors gown that was absolutely gorgeous! Although I was a fan of her award show gown, she should have gone for this one for the actual ceremony. 

Get Your Cotton On

Looks like the price of certain outfits will be increasing this year. And the culprit seems to be cotton.

Apparently the price of cotton has more than doubled over the past year reaching a record high.

At the same time, the price of other synthetic fabrics has also risen by almost fifty percent due to a higher demand for blends.

According to the president of Strategic Resource Group, a US retail and consumer goods consulting firm, prices for clothing are expected to go up almost 10% in the upcoming months!

Might be time for a shopping spree now then before it is too late!
